We sat down with Bude RFC Treasurer, Jodi Risdon, and learned a bit more about why the business switched to Wildanet broadband and how the club struggled with their day-to-day tasks with their previous provider.
“Before Wildanet, we had two external lines coming into the building as one wasn’t enough, and we still struggled with our card machines, in regards to the amount of data they took up”
said Jodi, who expressed that this lead to both frustrated patrons and staff as not only would payments take long, but music over the surround-sound would not load.
“[The speed] would drop when we would have more visitors, as they would want to use the internet as well”
As their contract with their provider was coming to an end, Jodi and her team decided to do some research, discovered local Cornish provider, Wildanet and decided to make the switch.
“Now we have changed to Wildanet, we have one line in, and we have enough speed for us and our visitors. We no longer worry if our card machines or music system will stop on really busy days, even if everyone is using their phones. We have no issues at all.”
Jodi continued to tell us that switching to Wildanet was also saving the club money on their broadband.
“It’s a lot more affordable for us, it was easy to install, your [Wildanet engineers] were here for a few hours, connected us up and it’s been excellent.”
