Wildanet Sponsors Bude Rugby Club’s Colts Team

Wildanet, Cornwall’s fastest broadband provider, is continuing to grow its full fibre network across Bude – and is now backing one of the town’s community pillars, Bude Rugby Club, as sponsor of its Colts team: 32 talented under-18s carrying the club forward.

The sponsorship has already made an impression. Club Treasurer Jodi Risdon said:

“We’ve had comments about how smart they look as a team, and the boys say it’s the best kit they’ve had – so thank you!”

It builds on an existing relationship, too. Earlier this year Wildanet connected Bude Rugby Club to full fibre business broadband, replacing a setup that had been holding the club back – Jodi previously told us the switch meant an end to dropped card machine payments and struggling wifi on busy match days.

The sponsorship also reflects Wildanet’s wider investment in the town. Bude became one of Wildanet’s newest full fibre areas earlier this year, with 2Gbps speeds now reaching over 2,300 homes and businesses across Bude, Stratton and surrounding villages – part of a rollout backed by the UK Government’s Project Gigabit programme alongside Wildanet’s own investment. Bude is among one of Wildanet’s most significant recent expansions.

Bude Rugby Club is an RFU-accredited community club with teams spanning mini, junior and senior leagues, and has been a fixture of local sporting life for generations.
