Cornwall‑based full fibre provider, Wildanet has become the UK’s first broadband provider to launch a Powered by TiVo Internet TV service that brings live TV, catch-up and streaming services together in one place, using a single box and remote with easy voice search.
The service runs over Wildanet’s full fibre network, requiring neither a TV aerial nor an engineer visit, and offers a future-ready solution for households still relying on an aerial or dish ahead of the Government’s proposals to move television from traditional broadcasting to internet-based delivery.
TiVo’s award-winning entertainment platform now powers Wildanet’s new TV service, bringing Freely’s free live and on-demand content alongside popular streaming apps through one simple interface, making content easier to find and watch. Customers across Cornwall and Devon can access hundreds of live TV channels and streaming content, with recommendations and conversational voice search helping them discover what to watch more easily, all through a Wi-Fi connection and without needing a new smart television.

For broadband providers, the launch demonstrates how they can move beyond broadband connectivity and create a deeper relationship with customers through a premium, operator-branded entertainment service. Delivered through TiVo’s managed TV-as-a-Service model, the platform gives providers a faster route to market.
Wildanet’s full fibre broadband network currently reaches around 62,000 homes and businesses in Cornwall and Devon, with rollout continuing to further rural communities, supported by government investment through Project Gigabit and new build contracts.
Upcoming areas include Goonhavern, Polperro, Praze-an-Beeble, Crackington Haven and Calstock, where hundreds of homes and businesses are expected to be connected by the end of 2026.
