What Equipment Do I Get with a Wildanet Broadband Package?

What Will You Receive When You Sign Up?

When you sign up with Wildanet for a home or business broadband package, you’ll be provided with hardware and optional extras to ensure a reliable internet connection. Depending on your setup (home / business) and your chosen package, some equipment may be standard, and some have optional add-ons. For full details and product questions, you can visit our Customer Hub or get in touch with our helpful team directly.

Router & Core Connection Hardware

At Wildanet, we supply a main router as part of your broadband service.

  • Depending on whether you’re on our full fibre or an offnet partner solution, there may also be external or internal terminals or network equipment needed (e.g. fibre termination points).

  • The hardware used may vary based on your chosen package

WiFi Boosters (Mesh WiFi) with Wildanet

We offer WiFi Boosters (also known as Mesh WiFi) as an optional extra for homes that have trouble getting WiFi coverage to all areas. These devices work together with your primary router, to deliver a seamless mesh network throughout your property.

Booster units are added to your basket or requested if you’re an existing customer. They’re a firm favourite amongst families and larger or rural properties, helping extend coverage to address dead zones and support guest WiFi.

Phoneline+ [VoIP]

Wildanet offers a service called Phoneline+, which is the digital replacement for traditional landlines (copper/PSTN) using VoIP technology. We also offer flexible business telephony solutions that can grow with your business needs.

Here’s what you should expect:

  • You can keep your existing phone number. Either use a new handset, or an adapter to connect your current handset.

  • You get features like caller ID, voicemail, contact directory.
  • The hardware can include devices such as: a VoIP adapter (for existing analogue phones), alongside options for IP handsets
  • To connect: The adapter or handset uses an Ethernet cable that plugs into the back to your router and calls can be made through your adapter. The phone plugs into the telephone port of the adapter if analogue.

  • To discuss business telephony solutions Call us on 0800 0699906 or email [email protected] to find out your options.

What Equipment is Optional vs Built-in

  • WiFi Boosters (Mesh WiFi) are an optional add-on: not included in the base home or business broadband packages.

  • Phoneline+ is optional. If you add this to your package, you can choose whether to use a VoIP adapter with your existing handset or a new IP phone provided by Wildanet and our partner provider.

Why This Matters to You

Having the right broadband equipment means your connection is more stable, covers enough of your home or business, lets your devices work properly (VoIP phone, smart devices etc.) and avoids frustrations like weak WiFi in certain rooms.
