Wildanet supports Cornwall Christmas Fair at the Eden Project – helping raise funds for community causes

Wildanet was proud to sponsor this year’s Cornwall Christmas Fair at the Eden Project, continuing our support for the popular annual event which once again brought people together to celebrate the festive season – while raising much-needed funds for communities across Cornwall.

One of Cornwall’s most anticipated seasonal charity events, each year the Fair raises tens of thousands of pounds for the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF), including an impressive £68,000 in 2024.

These funds help support charities and good causes, local community groups and grassroots projects across Cornwall working to improve the lives of people in the county, particularly those facing hardship or isolation.

Wildanet’s support saw the iconic Eden biomes lit purple for the event and our team had the opportunity to meet with residents, partners and local businesses to share updates on our work delivering high-speed broadband to homes and communities throughout Cornwall and the South West.

Simon Hughes, Wildanet Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are proud to be a company deeply rooted within and committed to Cornwall and supporting the Cornwall Christmas Fair is a meaningful way for us to give back to the communities we serve.

“The work of the Cornwall Community Foundation makes a real, lasting difference to people’s lives and we are delighted to have been able to contribute towards making this year’s Fair another hugely successful event in support of the CCF’s work.”

The funds raised will help CCF continue their vital support for community-led initiatives including food banks, youth projects, warm spaces, social inclusion programmes and cost-of-living support across Cornwall. In 2024, the Fund Distributed more than £3 million in grants across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, funding 675 projects supporting over 105,00 people.
